Brand Imagery
  • Professional and natural photography (preferably portriat) where the subject is the main focus should always be used.
  • The images should have plain backgrounds preferably grey, white or ash. Pastel colors or dull backgrounds can also be considered. Images with dymanic background can also be used as long as the subject is the main focus of the image.

  • Our creative style emphasizes the subject matter so, all designs should be clean & minimal; minimalize the use of images(especially stock images) when designing creatives for digital communications.
  • ByteBao has a wide range of colors, gradients and abstract background options to use when drafting communications however, there are certain rules that guide when & how they should be used based on the content being created.
Color Palette
  • The logo and brand mark can be used in White, Black, Purple, Red, and different types of backgrounds becasue it was created to be dymanic
  • The brand’s primary colors are off-white (#F9F9F9) background with black (#00000) context or vice versa, representing formality & conveying certainty. The colors in the primary palette can be used for color fields, background, rules and other graphic devices.
  • The main secondary color for ByteBao is Purple(HEX# 783bf5). The other color Red (HEX# ff2525) should be used sparingly in communications and brand colllaterals.
  • Gradient 1 is a mesh of the ByteBao Puple & Red with Purple being the dominant ratio. Gradient 2 is a mesh of the off-white, Purple & Red with off-white being the dominant ratio. Gradient 3 is a mesh of the Black, Purple & Red with Black being the dominant ratio.

  • The brandmark “B” should be used for the brand’s sub-applications/ sub-brands and for the various programs under the ByteBao brand.
  • When ByteBao is an equal partner, the logos should be placed side-by-side, with a dividing line equidistant between the two.
  • When ByteBao is a Primary partner, the logo should be placed on the left side with an ‘x’ equidistant between the two.
  • When ByteBao is a Secondary partner, the logo should be placed on the right side with an ‘x’ equidistant between the two.
  • In all communications, the logo should be anchored top-left & bottom-left. In instances where this is not possible, the other two corners can be used

  • Our icons are designed to fit within our wider visual system and are a reference outline style of our brand mark. They can be used as shorthand to communicate ideas, objects and actions using common visual language and can be used as a secondary visual device to accompany photographic imagery.
  • The main element is an abstract ‘B’ that represents the first letters of the brand name. The mark was constructed using 2 parallelograms with base angles 45° &135° respectively. The parallelograms are based on the input/output symbol used in flowchart diagrams to represent algorithms, workflows or process.
  • The brand mark can be used in a filled or outlined version as a key visual element.
  • The key visual is a pattern created from the brand mark. The design was created by using the 45° angle to carefully arrange the brand mark to give a unique visual effect that gets cut-off in compositions.
  • The ByteBao logo, brand mark, Key visual element or Website link must be present in all ByteBao Communications.
  • Note: Avoid use more than one branding element on a composition an try to keep the element on the top-left or bottom-left.

  • The design is inspired by data visualization methods. It’s combination of a scatter plot & and line graph infused with the brand color palette. The key visual balances dynamism & structure by combining a scatter plot which can sometimes be vey dynamic and a line graph which is more structured.
  • The key visual hs 4 variation which can be paired with the brand colors palette in 5 ways.
  • The key visual element (KV) was intentionally designed to allow usage on multiple dimensions across different applications and scenerios.The KV can be used on multiple background colors of both the primary & secondary brand colors and works well with all the brand assets combined. Below are some example of how they can be used for internal/external communications (posters, email campaigns or print ads).

  • Color is highly communicative and plays an important role within our identity. A range of curated colours are available which can be used to communicate in a wide range of tones. A consistency in approach to colour is integral.
  • The color palette is broken down into primary & secondary color palettes. The colors in the primary palette can be used for color fields, background, rules and other graphic devices.
  • The secondary colors can appear as graphic elements in such applications as brochure covers, page dividers, promotional folders, charts or graphs, dispaly or signage.
  • Note: The primary colors includes a linear gradient that is a blend of the two seconday colors. The angle of the gradient should alay be 15o with red blending into purple. Purple should also be faint at the bottom right of every composition.
  • A consistent approach to the application of colour is important for communicating in-line with our confident, clean and simple aesthetic.These are some examples of successful 3 and 4-color pairings.
Typography
  • Typography plays a critical role in establishing a unified personality and plays a large role in our visual identity. For this reason, we have chosen Bulter.
  • Butler is a free serif font inspired by a mix between both Dala Floda & the amazing Bodoni family. The main goal was to bring a bit of modernism to serif fonts by working on the curves of classical serif font families and adding an extra stencil family.

  • Campton is a simple sans serif with a geometric skeleton, based on the mid to early twentieth century visual trend of achieving neutrality. Although, there are a lot of typefaces focusing on similar principles, tries to find its niche in the field of anonymous typefaces by combining simplicity with a subtle friendliness.
