Visual Identity Overview
- The visual identity centers on a circular emblem featuring a sunburst, pyramid, and human silhouette, using Royal Blue, Crimson Red, Golden Yellow, White, and Rich Black. The logo is applied consistently across materials, with clear rules for color, typography, layout, and usage, reflecting authority, enlightenment, and progress.

Logo Usage
- The CHED logo has two (2) existing layouts: The one with border is the primary logo used for communication materials. The other one without border is the secondary logo which is used for flags only. In the reproduction and use of the CHED logo, make sure to only use the original, high resolution file. Do not use screenshots or photos from this manual.
- Royal Blue, Crimson Red, and Golden Yellow are the official colors of the Commission on Higher Education. This palette corresponds to the colors of the Philippine flag in support of CHED’s role as the main advocate and pillar of nation-building.
- To provide consistency in all color applications, please refer to the color specifications:
- The logo should be surrounded by clear space to ensure visibility and clarity. No other elements should overlay the white space.
- Clear space is equivalent to the height of the pyramid.
- Minimum size refers to the diameter of the logo, rather than the logotype lockup as a whole.
- To make sure the logo is clear and legible, it should never appear smaller than a diameter of 1 cm in print.
- The logo should never appear smaller than a diameter of 70 px on screen.
- To allow flexible application of the CHED logo, the following versions are accepted: FULL COLOR LOGO REVERSED COLOR LOGO BLACK COLOR LOGO
- The CHED logo is circular and should be on white background. It can be in black and white in addition to the specified color scheme.
- As the national agency mandated to promote and ensure quality education in the country, the CHED logo must be used with care and consistency. The following illustrates the misuse of the Commission’s logo: Do not distort. Distortion of the logo or any of its elements. Do not add elements. Adding elements such as but not limited to outer glow, unnecessary shadow, and shapes. Do not use other colors. Using colors not in the specified color scheme. Do not use below minimum size. Do not use other fonts. Using other fonts other than the specified. Do not place the logo on images where it will not be visible. Changing the background will help.
- The logo should always be applied in a professional and transparent manner. Transparency and excellence should also be communicated.
- The secondary logo with no borders will be used for the flags. Logo should be centered and the size should be 1/3 of the width of the flag.

- CHED logo on the opposite side Logo height should be 2 cm at maximum.

Typography
- The Commission’s name is represented by Georgia Regular encircling the mark, while the subhead is in Helvetica LT STD Bold, both in Rich Black.
- The agency’s full, abbreviated, and regional offices’ names are represented by Georgia Regular in Rich Black, both in horizontal and vertical orientation.
- Fira Sans is the Commission’s official primary typeface, and Georgia is the official secondary typeface for all CHED communication materials to be posted and published in the official websites and social media accounts.
- The primary typeface for official correspondences such as letters, memoranda, and issuances is Arial, 11 pt.
- The Fira Sans typeface is the official typeface for all official communication materials. Fira Sans is a humanist sans-serif typeface that aims to cover the legibility needs for a large range of handsets varying in screen quality and rendering.
- Fira Sans Condensed and Fira Sans Compressed are also available, if needed.
- The Georgia Font has been selected for use as secondary typeface for communication materials.
- Body texts should be in Arial at 11 pt.
- Body texts should be in Fira Sans.
- All other texts are in Georgia at 11 pt
- Headline texts should be in Fira Sans Font.
- Body texts should be in Helvetica.
